A Cairo based creative writer and storyteller who works in advertising -mostly-, with a passion for street culture, a sponge mind, a few awards in his pockets and the hunger for more.
Intro
Hani Mohsen hates writing about himself, specially in 3rd person; however his start in advertising didn’t come until at a later stage, he spent his formative years exploring different careers, searching for something to meet his passion until he was able to find it in Creative writing.
Work
Starting his advertising career at Impact BBDO Cairo at 2014 where he worked on brands like Pepsi - Chipsy/Lay’s - Haircode and winning awards on TECNO Mobile, moving to JWT Cairo at the beginning of 2017 where he worked on Vodafone - Carrier - Midea - Huawei and others, and winning a couple of awards on Shell before moving to Dubai in mid 2018, where he worked at Publicis Middle East mostly on Nestle’s Kitkat, Nescafe and Maggi.
He moved back to Cairo early 2020, and started working at The Brand Company where he currently resides.

Shell Rimula introduces its new global platform in Egypt, by paying tribute and championing those drivers who are perceived to be tier 2 citizens (with tier 1 driving licenses).
The entire script is written using the lingo of the bumper stickers quotes, placed by truck drivers on their trucks as personal statements.

My CV
I’ve held a variety of professional writing positions in advertising, marketing, journalism and the entertainment industry, where I’ve been responsible for delivering everything from social copy to 10,000 word features.
In addition, I’ve published three novels and have placed short stories in several prominent literary magaxzines. My latest novel was optioned by a major film production company for TV development.
I’m based in NYC, but available to travel for longer consulting engagements.
